The Paredones vineyards are pioneers in the new region for high quality cold-climate wines. Our vineyard is planted just 6 km from the Pacific Ocean on rolling hills with granitic soil with a bit of clay as well as great depth and drainage. The evolved soils are derived from granitic rock with a high percentage of quartz gravel that interacts with the clay and weathering quartz rock to great depth.
Paredones is a unique vineyard and a “cool coast” pioneer in the Colchagua Valley. It is a unique and natural place that has been little exploited where the nature of the Chilean coast is displayed in its maximum splendor. The average maximum temperatures for the month of January do not exceed 23ºC, making this area ideal for varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Pinot Noir, and Syrah, and the grapes produce very fresh and elegant wines with unique fruit expression.
