Casa Silva has been one of the three pioneering wineries in achieving the certification of 100% of its vineyards under the Wines of Chile Sustainability Code (www.sustentavid.org). It also has an important area under organic management and a constant improvement of its processes both in the winery and with its community.

Viña Casa Silva currently has vegan certification for all of its wines.

Currently, it is not a mystery to anyone that climate change affects living conditions, food possibilities, economic activity in general and the security of populations.
This transformation is the result of human activity and it is everyone’s responsibility to take action to alleviate negative effects. In this sense, Viña Casa Silva, for more than a decade, has made significant efforts to apply sustainable winemaking practices. But now, Viña Casa Silva is taking an even more important step by committing to the development of science-based Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction targets.
Viña Casa Silva’s commitment to setting emission reduction targets comes hand in hand with the global initiative Science Based Targets or SBTi, which, through independent work from its team of Experts will validate the commitments and monitor the progress of the Colchagua Valley family winery.
SBTi is a joint initiative of the Carbon Disclosure Project, the United Nations Global Pact, the World Resources Institute, the World Wide Fund for Nature, and the We Mean Business coalition.
Together with Viña Casa Silva, there are more than 2,000 companies from around the world making serious efforts to reduce their carbon emissions in a measurable way and to a sufficient degree to meet the goal of not exceeding the 2 degrees’ Celsius increase in temperature established in the Paris Climate Agreement.
With the beginning of the process of determining the Science-Based Targets (SBT), Viña Casa Silva prepares for future growth, anticipating those decisions that will surely have to be made eventually and being prepared for regulatory and legislative changes that are being implemented and that will continue. going forward.
